Twitter has a new pad

Twitter  officially moved into their new pad in Market Square, San Francisco. Market Square consists of two art-deco buildings originally opened in 1937.

In Twitter's new headquarters — inside the historic Market Square building at 1355 Market St., in San Francisco, Ca — the elevator lobby into the reception area has a tree theme, which is appropriate considering the company logo is a bluebird. (Michael Macor / The Chronicle) / SF

Even Twitter founder Jack Dorsey (@jack)  stopped by the opening day party, tweeting ”Our outdoor rooftop deck,” with a photo. “Gorgeous.”Twitter is planning  to increase its overall workforce from the current 800 people to some 3,000 within the next few years. In addition to the new San Francisco headquarters, Twitter also operates sales and engineering offices in New York, London and Tokyo, with plans to further expand worldwide. Paris offices opening soon ?!
