1,500,000,000 people get access to Foursquare in their mother tongue

Foursquare just added 5 new more languages to its application:  Bahasa Indonesian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian and Thai.  These five new languages represent some of our fastest growing areas internationally.

Go and update the latest version of Foursquare  and it will automatically switch to the phone’s default language setting.

This is the second wave of Foursquare’s efforts at global language expansion. Co-founder and CEO Dennis Crowley announced that the app would be translated into French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish.

As Foursquare’s official blog says: ” With over 10 million members all over the world, foursquare has a hugely global community. People have checked in to every single country on the planet, so we feel the least we can do is make a first-class foursquare experience available to everyone. ”

Thanks, Merci, Muchas Gracias, Grazie Mille Foursquare! I just love you!
