IBM has the first ‘Network’ on SlideShare – this IBM Network pulls in content from individual selected IBM employees accounts on SlideShare and has the ability to curate and organize content from employees. There is a common look and feel across all the IBM expert accounts.

I was selected amongst others colleagues to be part of this exiting program.
This is a custom program for IBM, and a first for Slideshare. Thanks to Adam Christensen (@adamclyde) and his team (Kate Motzer etc) to launch successfully this unique project. See Adam’s recent Blog on this
See extract of the Slideshare’s team blog post on this announcement:
“IBMers were early adopters of slideshare – even as SlideShare was just picking up momentum, they seemed to pop up all the time. Some of the most popular presentations were from IBMers, but there was no easy way to tell they were from IBM. There was also no way to look at all the content from IBMers. IBM’s presence was fragmented, and this hasn’t just been IBM’s experience, a lot of companies have the same problem with social media sites – they encourage and support employees participating in social media. Individual employees have their accounts and generally there is a company account as well, but there is no way to link it all together.”
B2B and B2C marketers have unique opportunities when it comes to social media. This program which will evolve over time will help to surface IBM’s greatest asset: the expertise of its employees.
